This document describes the methods available in TimeKeeper for reporting time durations (time spent clocked in, time absent, etc). Every action in TimeKeeper is recorded with a time-stamp. That time-stamp is stored in the database with an accuracy of approximately 3 milliseconds. Since most accounting systems don't need that level of accuracy, TimeKeeper gives you the option of choosing how to round off the nearly exact duration between two events.
To choose an Hour Format:
This format will display all durations using whole numbers for the hours and minutes. The minutes will be rounded to the nearest whole minute. If a value lies in the middle, it is rounded up to the nearest whole minute.
This format will display all durations using a fractional number of hours. The hours will be rounded to the nearest tenth of an hour. If a value lies in the middle, it is rounded up to the nearest tenth of an hour.
This format will display all durations using a fractional number of hours. The hours will be rounded to the nearest quarter of an hour. If the value lies in the middle, it is rounded up to the nearest quarter of an hour.
